Jeans can be said to be Holy Grail of men’s’ casual clothing. Well-Fitted jeans look quite fashionable and can be teamed with a t-shirt, Henley shirts, casual shirts or even dress shirts depending upon the occasion. Jeans should be chosen according to one’s body type and given below is a description of what styles and cuts suit which body type.

  1. For thin men: Thinly built men, sometimes referred to as having the ectomorph body type, have a flat chest, lean muscle and small shoulders. Straight leg jeans with low rise will flatter their slender build. They should strictly avoid baggy o loose fitted jeans or skinny jeans. Even high rise jeans should be avoided as it will make their bum look flat.
  2. For muscular men: Those who can’t live without working hard in the gym have bugger legs. Jeans with a regular fit and with wider legs will look great on such body. Straight leg jeans should be avoided as it might look skinny on them.
  3. For athletic men: Men with athletic body usually have muscular legs and buttocks. Their tones body will look better with a slim fitting, straight and boot cut jeans. They should go for low rise styles rather than high rise ones.
  4. For men with large waist: For those on the heavier side having a large waist, thighs, and buttocks, high rise jeans would work best. The fit of the jeans should be slightly loose. They can opt for straight cut jeans with a wide leg to give an impression of balanced body proportions. Skinny or slim fit style should be strictly avoided.
  5. For men with wide hips: Straight leg jeans with a high rise style will perfectly suit men with wide hips. Go for one size up so that it is comfortable to sit it. Loose fit jeans with wide leg will also work well for such a body type.
